International Energy Agency Human-Centric Buildings Network Meeting and Workshop

IEA EBC Annex 95 and Users TCP – Human-Centric Buildings for a Changing Climate
Expert Meeting (May 14-15) + Health x Energy Nexus
Workshop (May 16)”

In light of current global events — including international travel restrictions, institutional directives, and logistical challenges affecting researchers and industry around the world — we’ve made two key decisions:

  • The IEA Annex 95/HCB Network meeting (May 14/15) will shift to a fully virtual format. Stay tuned for links and the agenda in the coming weeks.
  • The Health x Energy Nexus Workshop (May 16) will be postponed to a future date when we can reconvene in person with our local, national and international friends. We remain deeply committed to launching this important interdisciplinary effort when we can bring key participants together safely and meaningfully. I will reach out with a rescheduled date when we have one.

While this shift is necessary, it’s also an opportunity: we’re committed to delivering a meaningful and productive virtual HCB Network gathering, and we’re excited to bring the Health x Energy Nexus Workshop back with even more momentum when the timing allows. This workshop is designed to foster powerful interdisciplinary connections, and we want to make sure it launches with the in-person energy and collaboration it deserves.

At this time, the abstract portal is closed, and registrations are paused for both events. We apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused, and we will issue full refunds to all who have already registered.

We appreciate your flexibility and support — and we look forward to seeing you (virtually for now!) and in person when the time is right.

Warmly,
Julia K. Day, Ph.D.
